I do see that both Razor-Qt is available for both #Arch and #Gentoo. I plan to try it once I head home in a few weeks. #razorqt

@patrickniedzielski I did. I unemerged and emerged the terminal apps and that fixed it mysteriously. strange doings in #gentoo land

definitely some quirks with #gentoo #linux. For instance #midori browser just returns mostly blank pages. Thank goodness for #lynx
